Featuring a stunning twelve-story glass roof atrium lobby with cascading waterfalls and a tranquil lagoon, The Grand Hyatt Washington is located in the heart of the Washington, D.C. business, government and financial districts, just steps away from the National Mall. This is the fastest growing part of downtown D.C. and offers 100+ restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel has direct underground access from within the hotel to Metro Center, the central stop on the city’s modern subway system. The Grand Hyatt features formal and informal dining in Starbucks, the Zephyr Deli, The Grand Café, the Grand Slam Sports Bar, and Cure Bar & Bistro.
Guest Room Rates for the Meeting are:
Single or Double Occupancy: $269.00
Triple Occupancy: $289.00
Quadruple Occupancy: $309.00
Grand Club: $60 additional to the group rate
These rates will be available to the group two nights before and two nights after the official event dates, i.e. 6/2/11-6/11/11.
WHY STAY AT THE HOST HOTEL: While we realize that these hotel rates may seem high, Washington, D.C. in June is peak season for visitors. Meeting organizers urge all attendees to consider booking at the Grand Hyatt, for the following reasons:
- Convenience: You will be only steps from your spacious guest room, able to meet friends and colleagues easily between sessions and at the conclusion of each day. Transportation to off site group activities will only be provided from the Grand Hyatt.
- Comfort: The Grand Hyatt has received numerous awards for its amenities, to include its fitness center with indoor pool and whirlpool, sauna, steam and massage rooms; direct underground access from the lobby to the metro subway system; and proximity to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (10 minutes). The customer service level is unsurpassed. You will feel “at home” at the Grand Hyatt.
- Meeting planners have reserved a certain number of guest rooms that must be occupied by attendees. The number of rooms is based on past history for both organizations involved. If the block of rooms being held for meeting attendees is not filled, the conference organizers will have to compensate the hotel for a percentage of this lost revenue, and both ASIA and ISCoS will forfeit these funds equally.
- Hotels in the surrounding area will not be dramatically less expensive at this time of year. MAY WE SUGGEST THAT YOU CONSIDER rooming with a friend or colleague and dividing the rate, rather than seeking accommodation at a distance. For example, a double accommodation, split between two occupants, would be $135.00 per night plus tax. A triple would result in an individual rate of $97.00 per night plus tax.
AS AN ADDITIONAL INCENTIVE TO ATTENDEES TO MAKE THEIR HOTEL RESERVATIONS AT THE GRAND HYATT, we will conduct a drawing for three night’s accommodation, room and tax, at the Grand Hyatt. Guests of the hotel who are also meeting attendees will be eligible for this drawing.

A dedicated booking website has been created for the conference so that guests will be able to make, modify and cancel their hotel reservations online, as well as take advantage of any room upgrades, amenities or other services offered by the hotel.
