Accepted Electronic Poster Instructions If you have received notice that your electronic poster has been accepted for presentation, please submit it using the guidelines given on this page via email to Janice Tilley at Janice_Tilley@shepherd.org. (Note that there is a single underscore between Janice and Tilley in this e-mail address.) The submission deadline is April 8, 2011. Please note that once the deadline of April 8, 2011 has passed, we will no longer accept electronic posters, and abstracts will not be published. Please follow instructions carefully and do not change the size of the e-poster template as this is designed to fit perfectly on the screen. Thank you for accepting an invitation to present an electronic poster at the International Conference on Spinal Cord Medicine and Rehabilitation joining ISCoS and ASIA. Preparing an electronic poster is a little different to conventional posters. As this is a new format it is sensible to allow additional preparation time. Leaving the submission process too close to the deadline runs the risk of a poorly prepared poster. Typical errors include incorrectly labeled images or incorrectly placed captions. You will be permitted to submit a PowerPoint slide the exact way you submit to a printer. This slide would contain the same content that you would display on a printed poster board display. INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING YOUR ELECTRONIC POSTER When creating your powerpoint electronic poster, the preferred Font is We recommend you submit the poster as a PowerPoint file rather than a PDF. This way if there are glaring mistakes with the formatting we can attempt to correct them. The posters need to be 26.67 inches wide by 15.00 inches tall and in a landscape format. Please follow instructions carefully. These instructions are to make the Power Point presentations ready for presentation. There will be NO audio on these presentations.
SUBMISSION The aim of the electronic poster is to display your work in a concise form, enabling conference attendees to grasp the essentials of the subject in a reasonable time frame. Brevity and clarity are the essence of a good electronic poster. Relevant images can be added to illustrate where appropriate, please ensure that any graphics used are of a good standard. High quality images or illustrations are valuable methods for conveying information. It is important to ensure correct placement of the images relative to the text to enable smooth reading of the poster. Where reference is made to equipment or pharmaceutical products the correct manufacturer and trade name should be used. Electronic presentations, as with all presentations at ISCoS and ASIA, should be non-commercial and non-promotional in nature. Appropriate acknowledgements for financial support must be declared. In all cases, patient anonymity must be protected in accordance with the HIPPA Privacy Laws.
